Engineering Technician - Molding

Responsibilities

• Organize, plan, and execute all phases of new product development and molding validations
• Develop consistent, quality processes for new molds and products
• Write validation documents, department specifications, and technical documentation
• Install prototype molds and ancillary equipment
• Provide technical assistance, training, and input to the Injection Molding Department
• Collaborate with Mold Approval Technicians on part measurements
• Propose and implement changes in plant processes and equipment to increase efficiency and reduce costs
• Monitor and document processes as required by the department

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma or GED
• Certified RJG Master Molder 1 or higher
• 8 years of Injection Molding Plastic Processing experience in a technical role
• Strong technical skill in injection molding with various polymers, high cavitation tools, and robotic automation
• Knowledge of PLC Operations, maintenance, and programming
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
• Ability to read schematics and part drawings
