Engineering Technician

Responsibilities

• Build physical prototypes for product engineers
• Conduct experiments involving pressure, force, airflow, heat transfer, and destructive testing
• Document results and present data to engineers
• Inspect, package, and manufacture select products
• Create written installation guides for new and existing products
• Remove and replace parts on vehicles for product engineers
• Perform 3D scanning of vehicle parts for space claim
• Maintain shop equipment, machines, and safety standards

Requirements

• S. in Engineering Technology or related degree (or H.S. diploma with 5+ years of relatable experience)
• 2-5 years of experience in prototyping and executing experiments
• Experience in manufacturing environments including welding and assembly
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand/work on vehicles for up to 8 hours
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive a manual transmission

Preferred Qualifications

• Electromechanical experience building custom machinery or test rigs
• Ability to use 3D modeling software and read/create 2D drawings
• Professional or general mechanical experience with vehicles
