About the role
Responsibilities
- Produce prototype parts for engineering builds in collaboration with engineering and operators
- Investigate and develop multiple production method options, including internal and new processes
- Partner with outside vendors and project engineers for new equipment design and process validation
- Provide technical training assistance to shift operators and Set-up Technicians
- Perform quality checks and testing on parts during prototype and engineering build phases using measuring instruments
- Interpret quality standards, control plans, and technical documentation to ensure parts meet specifications
- Support corrective actions, cross-functional quality initiatives, and efforts to reduce downtime and scrap
Requirements
- Associate Degree in a technology-related field
- 5+ years of experience in various manufacturing processes
- Proven experience with new product launches
- Ability to interpret part drawings and understand part quality requirements
- Proficiency with computer systems
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and communication skills
- Innovative problem-solving skills and the ability to work with minimal direction
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CAD software
- Experience in automated and manual assembly, forging, stamping, machining, or injection molding
