Engineering Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide test support for environmental testing on CBRNE experiments at various US testing grounds including Kirtland AFB and WSMR.
• Conduct tests or experiments by selecting, adapting, or modifying critical test equipment and procedures.
• Set up and operate equipment, record data, and analyze results to prepare technical test reports.
• Construct experimental or prototype models to meet specific engineering requirements.
• Extract and compile engineering data from field notes, manuals, and lab reports, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

Requirements

• Active DoD SECRET Security Clearance.
• Proficiency with computer systems and software.
• Strong knowledge of electronics and electronic systems.
• Expertise in soldering and electronic construction.
• Experience with electronic maintenance and calibration.

Preferred Qualifications

• AS degree in Engineering Technology or a certificate in electronics.
• At least 3 years of related technical experience.
• Experience in high explosive test support.
• Experience with Chemical, Biological, Nuclear, Radiological and Explosives (CBRNE) research and testing.
• Knowledge of data acquisition systems, transducers, timing and firing systems, or wireless transmission systems.
