Engineering Technician IV

Responsibilities

• Monitor, service, and calibrate diverse electronic, mechanical, and ground equipment systems
• Develop and maintain technical data, documentation, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting guides
• Support test and evaluation, system checkout, and certification activities
• Provide customer-facing support for system installation, testing, and fabrication
• Operate and maintain heavy equipment including bulldozers, graders, and backhoes
• Perform facilities maintenance including basic plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, and structural repairs
• Maintain logs and databases for generators, fleet vehicles, and inventory
• Manage hazardous materials (HAZMAT) in accordance with safety requirements
• Ensure compliance with environmental, military, and safety regulations

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues independently
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining heavy equipment
• Strong written, verbal, and analytical communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote, multi-disciplinary role
• Vocational or technical training beyond high school or equivalent military training
• Minimum 7 years of directly related experience
• Eligibility to obtain a Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting remote or austere environments
• Experience with HAZMAT handling and environmental compliance
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance systems and lifecycle documentation
• Experience working with DoD or military customers
