Engineering Technician II

Responsibilities

• Support new product design teams through test development, data analysis, and competitor benchmarking
• Use robust statistical methods to interpret performance data and make formal recommendations to design teams
• Conduct diverse and complex mechanical and electrical tests to ensure product conformance
• Operate a variety of power tools under trade-representative conditions
• Work directly with project teams to design highly detailed power tool tests
• Review and interpret tool sensor data to ensure testing accuracy
• Prepare detailed technical test reports utilizing word processing, database, spreadsheet, and statistical software

Requirements

• Technical Associate Degree or equivalent education
• 1-3 years of experience with test equipment, test procedures, and methods
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles
• Experience with data acquisition and panel wiring
• Proficiency in using PC-based statistical and graphical software
