Engineering Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform complex engineering tests, checkouts, and development engineering tasks.
• Analyze engineering test results and implement changes to resolve technical problems.
• Review project instructions and blueprints to ascertain test specifications and possible solutions.
• Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components or assemblies.
• Set up and conduct tests of complete units and components under operational conditions.
• Record test procedures, numerical/graphical data, and recommendations for product changes.
• Maintain software, documentation, and equipment to the latest operational specifications.
• Assist engineers in developing hardware and software required to test customer products.
• Train technicians and operators on products, processes, and equipment.

Requirements

• Associate degree, military training, equivalent vocational training, or equivalent experience.
• 6 years of related experience in an engineering or technical environment.
• Advanced technical skills with the ability to lead or guide other employees.
• Mathematical proficiency in geometry, trigonometry, probability, and statistical inference.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Physical ability to lift 20-25lbs.
