Engineering Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform complex engineering tests, checkouts, and development tasks
• Analyze engineering test results and implement changes to resolve technical problems
• Review project instructions and blueprints to ascertain test specifications and objectives
• Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components and assemblies
• Set up and conduct tests of complete units and components under operational conditions
• Record test procedures, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for product changes
• Maintain software, documentation, and equipment to the latest operational specifications
• Assist engineers in developing hardware and software required to test customer products
• Train technicians and operators on products, processes, and equipment

Requirements

• Associates degree, military training, or equivalent vocational training
• 2 years of related experience
• Technical high school degree
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions
• Ability to write technical reports, business correspondence, and procedures
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions
