Engineering Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform complex engineering tests, checkouts, and development engineering tasks.
• Analyze engineering test results and implement changes to resolve technical problems.
• Collect and analyze data to implement new procedures and improve product quality.
• Review project instructions and blueprints to ascertain test specifications and objectives.
• Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components and assemblies.
• Set up and conduct tests of complete units and components under operational conditions.
• Record test procedures, numerical/graphical data, and recommendations for product changes.
• Assist engineers in developing hardware and software required to test customer products.
• Train technicians and operators on various products, processes, and equipment.

Requirements

• Associate degree, vocational or technical training, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with Linux and debugging processes.
• Working knowledge of servers and switches.
• Strong data analysis skills and the ability to draw valid conclusions from facts.
• Proficiency in technical report writing and business correspondence.
• Ability to interpret extensive technical instructions and blueprints.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios to practical situations.
