Engineering Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide daily production support, troubleshooting, and repairs for process control systems including servers, PCs, controllers, networks, and code
• Ensure automation functionality and batch recipes support existing products, routine campaign changeovers, and equipment changes
• Implement and maintain control system safety requirements based on process safety assessments
• Maintain computer system validation to current industry standards
• Lead automation design, development, and implementation for capital projects and process changes
• Support automation and batch recipe modifications for new product introductions
• Pursue and implement control system improvements to enhance manufacturing capability, consistency, and compliance

Requirements

• Associate's degree in engineering or a computer-related field, OR 10 years of pharmaceutical experience with process controls
• At least 3 years of technical experience within bulk manufacturing
• Demonstrated computer system validation skills
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in computer skills or software development across multiple platforms and system types
• Ability to create and maintain computer networks and domains
• Strong self-management, documentation, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Emerson DeltaV
• Knowledge of DCS (Distributed Control Systems) or PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers)
• Experience with data networks and computer systems
