About the role
Responsibilities
- Assemble, test, troubleshoot, and support electromechanical robotic systems and products
- Support first prototype builds and early engineering development, transitioning to pilot builds
- Perform electrical assembly including soldering, cable harnessing, electronics assembly, and enclosure assembly
- Build cable harnesses and assist with cable drawings, documentation, and build notes
- Work from technical drawings and schematics in Altium, SolidWorks, and CAD models
- Provide feedback for design improvements and develop first-draft assembly processes
- Use electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, benchtop power supplies, and multimeters
Requirements
- Experience with PCB rework and cable assembly
- Knowledge of IPC standards for soldering, cable assembly, and PCB workmanship
- Hands-on electromechanical build experience with strong troubleshooting ability
- Ability to document builds, troubleshooting steps, and repair findings
- CAD experience
- Ability to lift more than 40 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience
- IPC certification or interest in becoming a Certified IPC Trainer
- Strong ability to work as part of a cross-disciplinary team
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally for testing, installation, or customer-facing work
