About the role
Responsibilities
- Assemble, test, troubleshoot, and support electromechanical robotic systems and products
- Fabricate custom design components in the machine shop using manual mills, lathes, CNC, waterjet, and laser cutters
- Work alongside engineering to design, develop, install, and troubleshoot prototype systems
- Use welding equipment (TIG and MIG) and powder coating tools
- Execute test plans using equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, temperature chambers, and vibration tables
- Design and build test fixtures and assembly tooling
- Create cable harnesses and assist with cable drawings/documentation
Requirements
- Demonstrated skills as a hands-on electromechanical maker/builder
- Troubleshooting abilities
- Documentation skills for build, troubleshooting, and repair reports
- CAD experience
- Ability to lift more than 40 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years experience as a mechanic or technician
- Excellent welding skills (MIG and TIG) on steel and aluminum
- Ability to work effectively in cross-discipline teams
- Willingness to travel occasionally for product testing and installation
