About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform routine tests, mix/cast chemicals and energetics, collect data, and operate equipment
- Follow detailed work standards and safety protocols
- Conduct laboratory procedures for chemical analysis using wet chemical techniques or analytical instruments
- Perform mechanical testing, environmental exposure, combustion testing, and propellant compatibility testing
- Apply results for quality control, failure analysis, and contamination analysis
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years of manufacturing experience
- OR Associates Degree with 0-2 years of manufacturing experience
- Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance
- Valid Driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with chemicals and chemical processing
- Proficiency with various hand tools
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Experience following safety practices and using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work cooperatively within a team and meet critical deadlines
