About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the buildout of prototypes at the Stuttgart location
  • Design and assemble prototype platforms and vehicles including passenger cars, trucks, and off-road vehicles
  • Troubleshoot vehicle systems, computer components, and sensors through root cause analysis and calibration
  • Manage inventory systems for components and lab supplies
  • Oversee procurement processes and maintain supplier relationships
  • Coordinate and guide other technicians in assembly and maintenance tasks
  • Support the expansion of prototyping capacities at other EMEA locations and customer sites

Requirements

  • 2+ years of technical experience in mechanical, electrical, computer, automotive, or robotics industries
  • Proven ability to assemble prototypes and electrical wiring according to technical specifications
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and datasheets
  • Experience creating and maintaining detailed assembly instructions
  • Practical experience in a workshop, lab, or assembly environment with soldering skills
  • Familiarity with shop equipment, 3D printers, and automotive diagnostic tools
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Python or other programming languages for automation
  • Understanding of ROS and Linux operating systems
  • Skills in CNC, machining, metalworking, or welding
  • Experience with AV components such as LiDAR, radar, and cameras
  • Ability to design custom harness cables
  • Familiarity with CAD software like Solidworks
