About the role

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot vehicle systems, computer components, and sensors, performing root cause analysis and calibration
  • Manage an inventory system for all components and lab supplies to maintain organization and efficiency
  • Manage the procurement process for key components and maintain relationships with key suppliers
  • Work collaboratively to minimize vehicle downtime while prioritizing safety and performance
  • Support the design, buildout, testing, and maintenance of test rigs and platforms

Requirements

  • 2+ years of technical experience in mechanical, electrical, computer, automotive, or robotics industries
  • Proven ability to assemble prototypes, electrical wiring, and cable assemblies according to engineering instructions
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics and datasheets
  • Experience documenting and maintaining detailed assembly procedures
  • Practical experience working in a shop, lab, or assembly environment with proven soldering skills
  • Familiarity with shop equipment, 3D printers, and automotive diagnostic tools
  • Strong organization and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Python or other programming languages for troubleshooting and automation
  • Understanding of ROS and Linux operating systems
  • CNC, machining, metalworking, and welding skills
  • Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance
  • Practical experience with AV components like LiDAR, radar, and cameras
  • Ability to design and prototype custom harness cables
  • Familiarity with CAD software (Solidworks preferred)
