Engineering Technician

Responsibilities

• Support the fabrication, assembly, and modification of prototype electromechanical systems and experimental design circuitry.
• Perform rigorous testing, check-out, and troubleshooting of electronic circuits, logic systems, and photonics applications.
• Conduct operational tests and fault isolation to assist engineers in determining remedies for system malfunctions.
• Assist in the design, construction, and validation of custom test equipment using diagnostic tools.
• Maintain precise technical documentation of all engineering activities and testing results.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with manufacturing, test, and diagnostic equipment, specifically oscilloscopes and signal generators.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret complex electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical layouts.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault isolation skills to identify and remedy equipment malfunctions.
• Experience working in a laboratory or manufacturing environment supporting electro-mechanical or semiconductor systems.
• Ability to follow detailed technical instructions and collaborate effectively with engineering staff.
