Engineering Team Lead (ETL)

Responsibilities

• Lead a squad of 6 to 9 engineers, balancing technical leadership with people management.
• Drive system design, architecture decisions, and technical RFCs alongside Staff Engineers.
• Maintain high technical credibility through active code reviews, debugging, and hands-on coding.
• Champion engineering excellence by implementing CI/CD, test automation, and observability.
• Lead the adoption of AI-native engineering tools, including LLM workflows and agentic coding.
• Manage talent development through meaningful 1:1s, performance calibration, and career coaching.
• Optimize delivery predictability and cycle times using Agile methods like Scrum or Kanban.
• Partner with Product Managers and Domain Architects to translate business needs into technical outcomes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with recent production code contributions.
• Strong expertise in system design, architecture patterns, and modern engineering tooling.
• Proven experience coaching engineers and managing professional growth.
• Proficiency in Agile delivery methods and managing delivery risks.
• Ability to remain a highly active technical contributor while leading a team.
• High emotional intelligence and the ability to lead under pressure during critical incidents.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building and scaling engineering teams and processes.
• Deep expertise in at least one area of the full stack (T-shaped profile).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted productivity tools and automated development lifecycles.
