Engineering Team Lead (ETL)

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design, architecture decisions, and RFCs to ensure system security and scalability.
• Maintain hands-on technical credibility through active code reviews, debugging, and direct code contributions.
• Champion engineering excellence by driving modern practices in CI/CD, test automation, and observability.
• Lead the adoption of AI-native engineering, including agentic tooling and LLM workflows, to accelerate development.
• Manage a squad of 6-9 engineers, providing coaching, performance calibration, and career development through meaningful 1:1s.
• Optimize the squad's delivery cycle and predictability by removing blockers and improving processes.
• Partner with Product Managers and Domain Architects to translate business requirements into technical outcomes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with recent production code contributions.
• Deep expertise in system design, architecture patterns, and modern engineering tooling.
• Proven experience coaching engineers and managing people development.
• Proficiency in Agile delivery methods such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Strong ability to remain a technical contributor while taking on leadership accountability.
• High emotional intelligence and the ability to lead effectively under pressure.
