Engineering Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead small-scale engineering projects and provide support for equipment, processes, and new products
• Provide direction, training, and support to technicians
• Develop experiment plans, conduct experiments, and analyze data to draw technical conclusions
• Estimate cost, timing, and resource requirements for small projects
• Track and report on project spending and manage within limits
• Specify and order equipment required for project work
• Identify key improvement opportunities within the department and contribute to core technology development
• Provide verbal and written updates to supervisor and unit leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical experience
• 2-4 years of engineering experience in a related field
• Proven track record of accomplishment on small projects or production support
• Experience working on technical problems or collaborating with technicians

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Science in Engineering or an equivalent degree
• Previous project leadership experience or formal training
• Certified Green Belt or equivalent statistical knowledge
