Engineering Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage emergency programs and maintenance for all equipment, physical structures, and landscaping
• Implement preventative maintenance programs for guest rooms, kitchen, exterior, and public spaces
• Manage departmental expenses, labor controls, and overtime to stay within forecasted numbers
• Oversee staff including interviewing, hiring, training, and performance appraisals
• Ensure compliance with brand QA standards, OSHA requirements, and local/state/national codes
• Maintain building exterior and curb appeal, including snow removal and lawn care
• Act as Manager on Duty as scheduled
• Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction and resolve complaints

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years engineering experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Vocational schooling or certification in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or Carpentry
• Ability to lift 25 to 50 lbs and work in extreme temperatures
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
• Computer literacy

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of management experience
• Associates Degree or higher
• Knowledge of hotel operations and budget forecasting
