Engineering Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support across design, development, integration, testing, installation, and verification activities
• Participate in engineering reviews and support system acceptance processes
• Conduct system testing, validation, and operational readiness activities
• Support site deployment, installation, set-to-work, and verification activities
• Identify and escalate technical risks and issues
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation and artefacts
• Analyse system performance data and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliers
• Contribute to a strong safety culture and compliance with WHS and system safety requirements

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or Information Technology (or equivalent)
• Experience applying systems engineering practices across the system development lifecycle
• Experience in the design, development, testing, and implementation of software-based systems
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
• Experience working with stakeholders and vendors
• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government NV1 Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Digital Tower Solutions or Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems
• Experience with real-time or distributed systems and N-tier architectures
• Awareness of aviation or safety-critical standards (e.g. ISM, DO-278A)
• Eligibility for professional engineering registration (e.g. RPEQ)
