Engineering Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee all engineering operations including budgeting, scheduling, and directing subordinates
• Coordinate and distribute workload within the engineering department to ensure efficient staff utilization
• Monitor and maintain project budgets and productivity
• Oversee the preparation of improvement plans, specifications, and permit applications for subdivisions and commercial developments
• Design grading, drainage, paving, sewer, water, street lighting, and erosion control plans
• Perform civil design calculations including cost estimates, drainage, and sewer studies
• Research code issues and coordinate with City, State, and County officials
• Review drawings from vendors, clients, and architects for accuracy and completeness
• Stamp and sign improvement plans and reports
• Serve as a liaison between clients, agencies, subcontractors, and the design team

Requirements

• Ability to stamp and sign improvement plans and reports
• Proficiency in civil design calculations and standard engineering techniques
• Experience with land development projects and jurisdictional standards
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Experience directing drafters and technicians
