Engineering Operations Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS)
• Conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA)
• Perform rack installations and decommissioning
• Provide on-site support for contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with established practices and local legislation
• Execute technical writing to support change management programs

Requirements

• 2+ years of electrical experience
• 2+ years of mechanical experience
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
• Ability to work on a flexible schedule, including days, nights, and/or weekends (shifts can be up to 12 hours)
• Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 39 pounds independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a data center or mission-critical facility (e.g., hospital, military, or public safety facility)
• Associate or higher education in a related field
• Experience reading and writing technical documents, procedures, and engineering drawings
