Engineering Operation Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS)
• Conduct preventative maintenance (PM), troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA)
• Perform rack installations and decommissioning
• Provide on-site support for contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with established practices and local legislation
• Execute technical writing to support change management programs

Requirements

• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
• 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, and/or weekends (shifts can be up to 12 hours)
• Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed
• Physical ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 39 pounds independently
• Ability to perform construction tasks while on a ladder and work in environments requiring ear protection

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of data center engineering experience
• Technical training from Military or Trade School
• Associate or higher education in a related field
