Engineering Manager, Trust & Safety

Responsibilities

• Manage, develop, and grow a high-performing team of Trust & Safety engineers, including hiring and career development
• Own the technical direction for bot detection, content moderation, anomaly detection, and fraud prevention systems
• Drive the design and evolution of data pipelines that power detection and enforcement at scale
• Oversee the development of internal tools and dashboards for Trust & Safety operations and investigations
• Partner with product, engineering, legal, and finance leaders to define the Trust & Safety roadmap
• Analyze emerging attack vectors and adapt detection strategies to stay ahead of adversarial behavior
• Ensure high code quality, robust testing, and scalable architecture

Requirements

• 4+ years of engineering management experience in Trust & Safety, fraud detection, or content moderation
• Strong technical foundation in Python and SQL
• Experience with data engineering pipelines such as Dagster or Airflow
• Experience with analytical databases like Snowflake
• Knowledge of anomaly detection, anti-abuse strategies, and bot detection
• Experience with real-time systems and event-driven architectures
• Ability to work onsite 5 days a week in San Francisco

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a consumer tech or creator-platform company
• Experience scaling a Trust & Safety team from early stage to 10+ engineers
• Experience working in both large and high-growth, small-team environments
• A passion for music
