Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction for your team’s domain, driving architecture decisions and ensuring scalable, high-quality systems
• Build, coach, and grow a team of engineers by hiring top talent and running effective performance cycles
• Partner with product management, design, and data science to define roadmaps and ship impactful features
• Navigate the full development lifecycle from ideation through launch, managing tradeoffs and removing blockers
• Champion engineering craft, including code quality, robust testing, and balancing rapid iteration with maintainability

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience managing software engineering teams
• Proven track record of shipping impactful consumer products
• Strong technical foundation with the ability to review code and guide architectural decisions
• Experience building and operating systems at scale in a production environment
• Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and retain high-performing engineers
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
• Eligibility to work in the United States
• A love of music

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a consumer tech or creator-platform company
• Experience at both large organizations and high-growth startups
• Familiarity with AI/ML-powered product development
• Working knowledge of Python, TypeScript, consumer media systems, or real-time systems
