Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction for your team’s domain, driving architecture decisions and ensuring scalable, high-quality systems
• Build, coach, and grow a team of engineers through hiring and effective performance cycles
• Partner with product management, design, and data science to define roadmaps and ship features
• Navigate the full development lifecycle from ideation through launch, managing tradeoffs and removing blockers
• Champion engineering craft, including code quality and robust testing

Requirements

• 5–7 years managing a software engineering team with a track record of shipping consumer products
• Strong technical foundation capable of reviewing code and guiding architectural decisions
• Experience translating ambiguous problems into clear plans and shipped features
• Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and retain strong engineers
• Hands-on experience building and operating systems at scale in production
• Comfort thriving in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
• Forward-looking perspective on integrating AI and agentic coding into workflows
• Eligibility to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a consumer tech or creator-platform company
• Experience at both large organizations and high-growth startups
• Familiarity with AI/ML-powered product development
• Working knowledge of Python, TypeScript, consumer media systems, or real-time systems
