Engineering Manager, Social Commerce

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of full-stack engineers through hiring, coaching, and career development
• Stay hands-on by reviewing code, debugging production issues, and occasionally shipping features
• Own end-to-end outcomes by defining roadmaps, setting success metrics, and driving high-quality results
• Drive team pace and focus by fostering quick iteration and decision-making
• Remove obstacles for the team and cross-functional partners
• Work with game studio partners to improve tools and APIs
• Collaborate with product, design, and data science teams to shape commerce primitives

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building production systems
• 2+ years of engineering management or technical leadership experience on user-facing products
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript/React, and React Native
• Strong product sense and ability to collaborate with PMs and designers
• Comfort with ambiguity, experimentation, and A/B testing
• Proven track record of growing and developing engineers
• Strong ownership mentality

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with game development or game platform ecosystems
• Experience with e-commerce, monetization, or revenue-generating products
• Active Discord user
