Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead, recruit, and coach multiple teams of engineers and engineering managers to achieve peak performance
• Design, implement, and operate highly reliable, scalable, and secure distributed services
• Review team designs and provide feedback on deployment safety, resilience, scale, performance, and security
• Foster a positive, supportive work culture consistent with company values
• Facilitate cross-team interactions, communication, and dependency management
• Partner with Product and UX Design to discuss customer needs, user experience, and implementation efficiency
• Ensure all changes are fully tested and deployment plans include appropriate scalability and load tests

Requirements

• 13+ years of software service development experience
• 4+ years of previous management experience
• Experience building highly scalable, high-availability customer-facing applications
• Familiarity with SaaS applications (e.g., Google Docs, Office365, Salesforce)
• Experience building teams through successful recruiting and retention
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent industry/educational experience)
• Fluency in English
• Legal eligibility to work in India on an ongoing basis
