Engineering Manager - Robotic Systems and Test

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of software engineers working on autonomy projects
• Lead the full integration lifecycle of software and hardware components into unified autonomy products
• Oversee deployment of autonomy solutions onto hardware platforms, including sensors and vehicle autopilots
• Manage system-level testing and validation using SIL, HIL, and real-world field deployment on USV and UAV vehicles
• Drive best practices for configuration management and test artifacts
• Collaborate with internal teams like Perception, Fusion, and Autonomy to meet project milestones

Requirements

• MS in Computer Science, Robotics, Systems Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of industry experience in software, robotics, or systems engineering
• 2+ years of experience leading technical teams
• Experience deploying software to hardware with rigorous verification and validation
• Deep understanding of system-level integration (sensors, vehicle autopilots)
• Familiarity with robotics middleware such as ROS, DDS, Iceoryx2, or protobuf over ZMQ
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI
• Strong proficiency in Linux and hands-on experience with robotic hardware
• Familiarity with SIL and HIL simulation environments
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a U.S. security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in Robotics or a related engineering field
• Hands-on experience deploying autonomy on USV, UAV, or maritime/aerospace platforms
• Proficiency in production-level C++ and/or Python
