Engineering Manager, Risk Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of risk-critical engineering initiatives
• Manage engineering processes including sprint planning, code reviews, and technical design reviews
• Partner with senior leadership to shape technical strategy for risk, fraud, and trust systems
• Collaborate with Product, Risk, Compliance, and Operations to build scalable solutions
• Build and grow a high-performing engineering team through hiring, coaching, and performance management
• Foster a collaborative, feedback-driven environment and encourage mentorship

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-stack software development experience
• 1-3 years in a people management role
• Experience in high-growth B2B SaaS or fintech environments
• Proven track record of shipping high-quality products
• Experience building and owning internal tools or platforms
• Strong engineering judgment and pragmatic decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, React, and AWS
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive initiatives in cross-functional environments
