Engineering Manager, Research Productivity

Responsibilities

• Prioritize the team’s work in collaboration with the technical lead, research teams, and product teams to support fast iteration on research projects and training runs
• Design processes such as postmortem review, incident response, and on-call rotations to help the team operate effectively
• Coach and support reports to understand and pursue their professional growth
• Run the team’s recruiting efforts efficiently to support rapid growth

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in people management
• Ability to understand complex technical systems at a high level
• Interest in the transformative effect of advanced AI systems
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with research teams within a "research to production" pipeline
• Strong coaching, performance evaluation, and mentorship skills
• Strong project management and prioritization skills
• Experience recruiting, designing interview loops, and evaluating candidates
