Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage a staff of engineers, providing direction, performance reviews, and training to meet organizational requirements
• Oversee all engineering activities, including new product development, component modifications, and supplier qualifications
• Interface with Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Suppliers to ensure engineering objectives are met
• Ensure new product development projects are completed on time and address design problems to maintain high product quality
• Manage project lifecycles including Gantt schedule development, cost tracking, CapEx management, and maintenance of project records
• Represent the company at trade shows and conferences to stay updated on industry advances and assist Sales & Marketing
• Ensure product compliance with external standards and certifications

Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent degree
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Engineering Manager
• Minimum 5 years of experience developing and launching new products
• Familiarity with solid modeling, finite element analysis (FEA), and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Strong project management skills, including scheduling, team coordination, and budget tracking

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate
• Experience as an engineer within the pump industry
• Master’s degree in Engineering or Business
