Engineering Manager, Premium

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale an engineering team responsible for ChatGPT's subscription and monetization experiences.
• Own technical execution for premium customer journeys, including paywalls, upgrade flows, checkout UX, and plan management.
• Partner with Product and Data Science to run high-quality experiments across trial, renewal, and cancellation flows.
• Improve key subscription metrics such as conversion, renewal, churn, and lifetime value.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Legal, Design, and Marketing to drive monetization strategy.
• Build reliable, scalable systems for billing, payments, and entitlements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering management experience.
• Strong technical expertise in backend, frontend, or full-stack development.
• Proven experience with subscription products, plan merchandising, and checkout experiences.
• Proficiency with A/B testing, experimentation, and data-driven product engineering.
• Experience using analytics tools such as SQL, Amplitude, or Looker to guide decisions.
