Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a pod of 5–8 engineers through mentorship, performance management, and technical direction
• Own the delivery and technical quality of core product pods (Organizer/B2B or Consumer/Social)
• Align with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize infrastructure and DevOps work against feature improvements
• Participate in RFC reviews, architectural discussions, and system design conversations
• Maintain a high bar for code quality, reliability, and performance as the platform scales
• Collaborate with leadership to translate product strategy into clear technical plans and execution paths
• Provide roughly 30% hands-on technical contribution, including architectural guidance and code reviews

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering management experience
• 7+ years of professional software development experience (ideally having held a Senior or Staff level role)
• Proven experience leading complex, consumer-facing or marketplace products with millions of users
• Deep experience with system design and large-scale production systems
• Strong product intuition and the ability to navigate ambiguity and technical tradeoffs
• Excellent communication skills and experience operating in fast-paced, founder-led environments
