Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a high-autonomy, high-accountability engineering team, mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of ownership and excellence.
• Act as a hands-on builder by pairing with engineers to prototype, debug, and deliver robust, user-facing product experiences.
• Drive end-to-end execution of AI initiatives, from rapid experimentation to secure and reliable production deployment.
• Set technical direction and raise engineering standards, focusing on architecture, system behavior, and long-term scalability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Data, and Clinical teams to align technical execution with member and business outcomes.
• Help strengthen the NYC engineering presence and serve as a culture carrier as the company scales globally.

Requirements

• Experience leading one or more engineering teams with accountability for technical execution, delivery, and quality in fast-paced environments.
• Proven success guiding teams through the end-to-end delivery of complex, user-facing, AI-native products.
• Demonstrated ability to hire, mentor, and develop engineers across multiple career stages.
• Strong technical judgment with a track record of making sound tradeoffs regarding experimentation, technical debt, and scalability.
• Deep experience partnering cross-functionally to align technical work with user and clinical constraints.
• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity, requiring at least 3 days per week in our New York City office.
