Responsibilities

• Lead the team in daily tasks, prioritization, and decision-making based on business priorities
• Structure and facilitate the team’s workflow and development process
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical requirements
• Foster team evolution and member growth through 1:1s and performance evaluations
• Plan for future resource requirements and collaborate with hiring efforts

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in backend development
• 2+ years of experience in team management
• Track record of designing and supporting highly scalable, responsive web/mobile applications
• Professional experience in a technical management or leadership role
• Strong understanding of complex systems design
• Extreme bias towards action and a solutions-oriented mindset
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to leverage AI/LLM-based tools in daily engineering workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Japanese
