Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on major projects and critical product development
• Build and lead an engineering team of 10–15 engineers
• Mentor engineers and drive career development and growth
• Establish and enforce best practices for code quality and system design
• Own and operate team services using DevOps practices
• Maintain balance between new feature development and managing technical debt
• Lead the building and scaling of AI-assisted product capabilities within a SaaS platform
• Partner with Product and Data teams to translate business problems into AI-driven solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• 12+ years of experience in Software Development
• 2+ years of proven engineering management experience
• Strong coding background in Python, Java, C#, Golang, or Ruby on Rails
• Deep hands-on experience with cloud technologies, DevOps, and NoSQL
• Proficiency in design patterns, data structures, and Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Experience building scalable microservices and distributed systems
• Experience managing a team of 10+ engineers

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to AI/ML-driven product features like recommendations or personalization
• Familiarity with LLM-based systems, prompt engineering, and RAG
• Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, or FAISS
• Familiarity with MLOps concepts including CI/CD for models and drift detection
• Prior work in data-heavy SaaS domains like MarTech or Retail Tech
