Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale an engineering team responsible for ChatGPT’s subscription and monetization experiences
• Own technical execution for plan merchandising, paywalls, upgrade flows, checkout UX, and plan management
• Partner with Product and Data Science to run high-quality experiments across user flows
• Improve key subscription metrics including conversion, renewal, churn, and lifetime value
• Build reliable customer-facing experiences for purchase, renewal, and access-related states at scale
• Collaborate with FinEng and platform teams to evolve billing, payments, and entitlement capabilities

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering management experience
• Strong technical expertise in backend, frontend, or full-stack development
• Track record of improving conversion or retention through experimentation
• Experience with subscription products, paywalls, and checkout flows
• Proficiency with A/B testing, funnel analysis, and user segmentation
• Experience using analytics tools such as SQL, Amplitude, or Looker
