Engineering Manager

Mochi Health is building an AI-driven marketplace that makes healthcare discoverable, connecting patients to the right providers, transparent pharmacy pricing, and affordable medications. We are rebuilding healthcare from the patient up to make it more affordable, human, and intuitive.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and scale the engineering team by coaching junior developers and recruiting senior talent
• Drive alignment and velocity by providing business context and clearing organizational roadblocks
• Co-design clinical products by partnering with Operations, Product, and Clinical leadership
• Elevate technical craft and govern AI-assisted development to ensure HIPAA compliance and performance
• Foster a high-ownership, low-ego culture focused on patient outcomes

Requirements

• 2+ years of formal engineering management experience
• Proven track record of recruiting and mentoring engineering talent
• Strong technical background as a former Senior or Staff engineer with experience in distributed systems
• Experience managing teams in highly regulated industries like healthcare, fintech, or logistics
• Ability to work onsite in San Francisco 5 days a week

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with frontier agentic AI models
• Deep understanding of clinical workflows and regulatory environments
