About the role
Responsibilities
- Directly manage a squad of developers and QA engineers, providing mentorship, career development, and performance management.
- Define and communicate the technical vision and roadmap for the mobile product area, balancing short-term delivery with long-term architectural goals.
- Establish and uphold technical standards, system design principles, and best practices through code reviews and structured processes.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product Managers and Designers to shape solutions and validate technical feasibility.
- Drive delivery excellence through agile leadership, removing blockers, and tracking team velocity and quality metrics.
- Provide strategic technical support through selective hands-on coding, advanced debugging, and serving as an escalation point for complex issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience in React Native app development and leading/overseeing developers and QA/QE/SDET teams.
- Strong proficiency in React Native and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Working knowledge of backend technologies including Node.js, APIs, and databases.
- Experience with commerce platforms, specifically Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
- Strong understanding of testing strategies and ensuring robust test coverage.
- Experience with agile leadership, resource planning, and sprint management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with payment integrations, inventory management, and SEO.
- Knowledge of app performance optimization and conversion rate principles.
- Experience managing eCommerce-specific challenges such as catalogs, search, cart, and checkout flows.
