Engineering Manager, Mobile

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of mobile engineers across iOS and Android, overseeing performance management, career development, and hiring.
• Own the technical direction of Calendly's mobile applications, including architecture, platform standards, and engineering quality.
• Drive roadmap execution in partnership with product and design to ensure high-velocity shipping.
• Partner cross-functionally with backend, platform, security, and data teams to deliver cohesive mobile experiences.
• Establish engineering best practices for testing, code reviews, release processes, and incident response.
• Drive AI adoption across the team to streamline code reviews and automate routine development tasks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with significant hands-on work in native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin).
• 3+ years of engineering management experience leading mobile engineers in a product-focused environment.
• Experience driving the adoption of AI-powered tools and workflows to improve engineering productivity.
• Demonstrated ability to manage the full lifecycle of a consumer or B2B mobile product.
• Experience operating at scale with broad user adoption and high uptime expectations.
• Proven track record of building and retaining high-performing engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with both iOS and Android platforms.
• Background in SaaS or productivity tools where mobile is a primary touchpoint.
• Familiarity with mobile release operations, including app store processes and crash monitoring.
• Experience managing teams through major platform migrations or architectural shifts.
• Exposure to React Native or cross-platform tooling.
