Engineering Manager – Mechanical, Interiors & Structures

Responsibilities

• Lead design engineering teams for aircraft interior design, cargo systems, and structures within the payloads and modifications portfolio.
• Develop and implement project and operational plans to ensure business, technical, and customer requirements are met.
• Forecast resource needs, make hiring decisions, and provide coaching, mentoring, and performance reviews for employees.
• Establish and enforce engineering processes in accordance with Boeing and aerospace standards to ensure compliance.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders and global counterparts to align strategies, goals, and objectives.
• Resolve complex technical problems related to design or production support activities.
• Support or lead technical design reviews, change boards, and program gate reviews.
• Foster an innovative work environment to identify improvements in product, process, quality, and productivity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, manager, or large-scale project management).
• Strong technical knowledge of aircraft interior system requirements and certification processes for production and modification.
• Proven project and program management skills with the ability to drive complex projects to completion.
• Experience resolving technical and organizational issues in a high-pressure environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical and non-technical information to senior executives.
• Proficiency in English and digital collaborative tools.
• Demonstrated expertise across product development phases, including design, build, test, and certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Experience with Boeing processes, products, programs, and tools.
• Experience with Lean or continuous improvement processes.
• Proficiency with industry tools such as CATIA, PLM (Enovia/PDM), DOORS, IVT, or FEA tools (ANSYS/NASTRAN).
