Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead site-based engineering and self-delivery capital projects as the single point of accountability for maintenance and technical engineering.
• Promote a positive safety culture and ensure all work complies with EHS and sustainability policies.
• Deliver engineering operational improvements regarding line performance, compliance, and standards.
• Implement Engineering Excellence programmes using LEAN methodologies to ensure cost efficiency.
• Lead major manufacturing problem resolution using root cause analysis, design of experiments, and CAPA effectiveness trending.
• Manage the site-based capital programme, including pre-gate assurance for projects.
• Lead the site Process Safety technical function to ensure continual reduction of operational risk.
• Develop engineering and projects capability through effective leadership and succession planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Membership of a recognised engineering institution.
• Proven experience in capital projects and operations within highly regulated or high-hazard industries.
• Strong safety leadership experience with a track record of driving safety improvements.
• Proficiency in root cause analysis and technical problem-solving.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical senior audiences.
• Strong delivery focus with the ability to work under pressure to meet business-critical timescales.
