Engineering Manager, Integration & Test

About the Company

Radiant is an El Segundo, CA-based startup building the world’s first mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors. The company’s first reactor, Kaleidos, is a 1-megawatt, fail-safe microreactor designed to provide critical power to hospitals, data centers, and remote sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of electrical engineers, owning hiring, performance management, and technical development
• Own electrical and software integration requirements spanning power distribution, signal conditioning, and sensor mapping
• Manage schedule, budget, and vendor relationships for electrical hardware and integration activities
• Drive electrical validation strategy and establish test procedures and methodologies
• Oversee test infrastructure build-out and establish the test environment
• Lead design reviews and communicate technical decisions to cross-functional stakeholders

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• 8+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience including hardware design and test
• 2+ years of engineering management experience including hiring and team development
• Experience with DAQ and test systems (e.g., NI PXI, dSpace, Speedgoat)
• Proficiency with LabVIEW, TestStand, and a scripting language (Python, C++, or C#)
• Strong electrical and software debugging and root cause analysis skills
• Ability to work 100% onsite in El Segundo, CA

Preferred Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering
• 4+ years of engineering management experience
• Familiarity with real-time simulation systems or FPGA-based hardware
• Experience with controls fundamentals and software testing processes
• Background in high-reliability or regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, or nuclear
