About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the engineering team for industrial fastener products, overseeing design, development, and process optimization.
- Drive the New Product Development (NPD) process to ensure products meet market and customer requirements.
- Coordinate daily departmental operations, including resource allocation, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Production, and Purchasing to achieve business objectives.
- Continuously improve existing products by enhancing performance and reducing costs.
- Mentor and develop engineering team members to foster a culture of innovation and high performance.
- Monitor industry technology trends to maintain technical leadership and promote new process applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Automation, or a related engineering discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5+ years of engineering, R&D, or process management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial fastener product design, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
- Proven experience in product development and project management.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other quality management systems.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English for technical communication.
- Strong problem-solving, coordination, and leadership skills.
