Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and coach a backend engineering squad to foster technical excellence and professional growth.
• Own the execution of the squad's roadmap, ensuring clear prioritization and delivery of high-impact initiatives.
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of critical billing, insurance, and payments infrastructure.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to shape architectural decisions and drive long-term system reliability.
• Champion engineering best practices to deliver secure, performant, and maintainable code.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools and automation to increase team velocity and quality.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of engineering leadership experience, ideally in a SaaS environment.
• Proficiency in Rails, React, TypeScript, and GraphQL.
• Strong foundation in distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with mobile-aware API design and supporting high-quality mobile experiences.
• U.S. work authorization is required.
• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity at our NYC headquarters.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with billing, insurance, or revenue cycle management systems.
• Experience in the healthcare technology sector.

Benefits

• Competitive base salary ($190,000 - $210,000).
