Engineering Manager, GenAI Platform

Responsibilities

• Lead the GenAI Platform team as a builder-leader, overseeing delivery, quality, and team development.
• Own the execution of the platform roadmap, including LLM gateway, agentic runtime, MCP layer, and evaluation tooling.
• Manage the transition from a Kotlin-first SDK to a hybrid architecture that incorporates Python for agentic development.
• Partner with Data & AI Product teams to ensure the roadmap is driven by internal customer demand.
• Drive active hiring to scale the team and meet technical vision goals.
• Collaborate with SRE on reliability standards, incident management, and production readiness.
• Manage team resources, including LLM spend and infrastructure costs.

Requirements

• Significant engineering management experience within platform or infrastructure teams.
• Deep technical expertise in AI infrastructure to participate in architectural discussions and technical decision-making.
• Proven experience managing senior, highly autonomous engineers.
• Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams through significant architectural changes or transitions.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong understanding of both platform engineering and the data/ML ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience developing agentic solutions.
• Familiarity with our tech stack, including AWS, Kotlin, Python, Kubernetes, and LiteLLM.
