Engineering Manager - Full Stack (Node.js)

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture and development of scalable full stack web applications, maintaining a 70% technical and 30% management split.
• Actively contribute to critical modules, core services, and system design through hands-on engineering.
• Define and enforce engineering standards, including coding conventions, design patterns, and security baselines.
• Design and govern RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and microservices architecture.
• Lead and grow a team of 6–12 engineers, managing hiring, onboarding, and career development.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers to build a culture of ownership and technical leadership.
• Partner with Product Management to translate business requirements into engineering roadmaps.
• Own CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to ensure production reliability and scalability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 12 years of hands-on experience in full stack development.
• 2–3 years of experience in a technical lead or engineering manager role.
• Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and modern front-end frameworks (Angular or Vue.js).
• Strong expertise in SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale, distributed, cloud-hosted applications.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, DevOps practices, and automated testing frameworks.
