Engineering Manager, Email

Responsibilities

• Lead the Email team responsible for core infrastructure delivering billions of personalized emails monthly
• Build and maintain highly parallelized platforms, REST APIs, and user preference web pages
• Partner with product and design to build new features based on customer feedback
• Recruit, coach, and develop engineers
• Guide key architectural decisions and contribute to code in high-leverage cases
• Manage team vision, goals, and processes

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years of experience leading high-performing teams
• Experience building foundational systems at scale
• Ability to manage technical details and make difficult architectural tradeoffs
• Strong communication and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional experience with Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, JavaScript, or React
